Our Listserv (1.8b) has gone down several times for no reason that I can discover. Since our lists are still fairly new and sleepy, no mail for several days is not uncommon. Therefore, I may not discover that Listserv is not running for quite awhile, and a call from someone whose message was not posted is certainly embarassing.
We are running under SunOS (Unix) on a Sun workstation. I know there are many ways to query the Listserv via. email or I could log in to the workstation and find out what's running. But these are all methods that require me to do something, and I may not with all my other activities. Is there any more automatic method? I know that Listserv can't send a message if its stopped, but are there any other options?
TIA,
Leon
