This is FYI only, and I hope I don't start a flame-war on LSTOWN-L,
so if you think it is OK for me to post to lstown-l, please letmeno.

Dear colleague,

Have you considered using the network to do research? Have you thought HOW
can I reach a larger audience to collect data? If you have but not been
game to try have a think about this!!!

I'm looking to establish a relay network to assist me in research I'm
involved in using the lists to gather information. The Idea is to develop
a cooperative forwarding relay to reach as many lists as possible. I will
collect the data and publish it to the persons wishing to participate in
this cooperative venture. I see this as a way to assist each other in our
research work. As you are aware most of the Lists require you to be a
subscriber to place anything to the List. Using a relay system will jump
over this barrier. It is unrealistic to belong to a large number of List
just for the shear volume of mail to handle. This would give a means to
distribute information on a broader basis.

It should work like this: I gather all the data from this survey and
create a list of persons wanting to take part. I will then list the LISTS
that person would relay to. The idea is, the person would forward the
message etc. to one of Lists they are subscribed to.

Do you wish to take part in this cooperative forwarding relay?
YES ( ) NO ( )

I your answer is "YES" please complete this questioner and SEND IT DIRECTLY
TO ME AT [log in to unmask] PLEASE DO NOT SEND IT TO THE LIST
