Dear LSTOWN-L 

Some of you may recall the list NEW-LIST (I believe it started out on
bitnet node NDSUVM1).  That's where new (mostly) listserv-based lists
were announced to the world.

I remember announcing one of our national lists on it 11 years ago.

Apparently that list will no longer exist.  RIP.

Net-Happenings will continue -- that was one of earlier WEB site
announcement newsgroups.

Just a quick note to the list.

After 20 years of teaching High School Science and 10  years of
running the list, I have decided to 'officially' retire!!

As I get ready to retire, I will post to the list on a limited basis, 
 
but Karen Ellis who hosts the lists on the Educational CyberPlayGround
will take up the reins and keep these lists going.

Postings will resume Tuesday, September 30, 2003, with postings
being done on Tuesday and Thursday, 9am-3pm Central Time.

Postings will be to the Net-Happenings list & newsgroup, K12
Newsletters list , and Network Newsletters list. New-List will be
discontinued.
