Dear List Owners,
 
        Here I would like to express my great appreciation to everyone
        who advised me on how to handle net misbehaviors! You, list
        owners, showed me by example how a list should function.
 
        I went ahead to announce the new measures against foul language
        and personal attacks. Though I received some myself almost right
        away, I was fully prepared after taking your words. Our list is
        still not completely stable, but I have to say the first step
        was quite a success.
 
        What surprised me -- a pleasent surprise -- was that most of
        the list subscribers didn't leave, which is very likely an
        indication that abusive users were indeed a small number and
        hardly supported. This boosted my confidence.
 
        The next few weeks will be important, I gather, but with the
        help and support from my friends, including many of you, I am
        much more relaxed than a week ago. :-)
