most of my lists are

Subscription= Open,Confirm
Send= Editor

....

but listserv is delivering the mail to our smtp mail server ...

I thought that the listserv smtp service was only supposed to accept
mail delivered to the local address and that then it sends mail accepted
to the list to it's members ...

i.e.
listserv local domain is here.now
mail to [log in to unmask] is accepted and forwarded to the SMTP_Forward
for distribution to users
mail sent to, cc'ed or bcc'ed to [log in to unmask] is rejected

is there any way to STOP this ?

thanks

Mike

First, are your lists REVIEW= OWNER, SUBSCRIPTION= OPEN,CONFIRM?

Regardless (the barn door was open) AND if I understand your
circumstances -- since LISTSERV is not the vehicle (intermediary) that
is deliverying the email, how can it be used to stop the delivery? e.g.,

From: spoofed_address
To: your_list
BCC: any_userid@host

since LISTSERV doesn't provide the pathway to any_userid@host, it can't
stop the delivery.
