I would not particularly like to see the "ok" system changed as it
is consistent in all its' applications. There are *many* subscribers
who know how it works for confirming and renewing subscriptions and
changing it could lead to a great deal of confusion for subscribers,
or confusion for listowners if it looks like the same procedure but
is really different for some things.

There is another way, if you want to have multiple "moderators."
Have one, and only one, account to which the items for approval are
sent, and it is used for that purpose only. Then tell your moderators
how to telnet to that account, whover gets there first takes care of
whatever is there, as time permits. You wouldn't even have to have
your multiple moderators listed in your list header, so you wouldn't
have to keep changing the header nor would you need a list for the
items to be approved to be sent to first, if that's how you currently
do it.

There is the problem of password security for the "approval" account,
but if you are careful as to who you give the password to, and change
it regularly, particularly whenever a moderator leaves and you get a
new one, that shouldn't be too much of a problem. But the items to
be approved will go to only one address and the approval will always
come from that address, so you'll have no problem with the ok items
nor with items which require the "forward" procedure, as long as you
pay attention as to which items are which.

As to "blacklisting" certain people, there is a difference between
a service provider cancelling an account for known misbehavior, or
a listowner deleting a subscription and putting in a filter for the
same, and "blacklisting" someone from the entire net so he can't
get service from anyone, period. Some nasty lawsuits could stem
from that, and the ACLU might be enlisted to do the suing.

There's a difference between saying "You have the right to say this,
but not on my list," and "You can't say this *anywhere* because we
will block all net access" are two totally different things.
