After being publicly defamed for politely and privately appealing
to the better nature of a couple of list members, I am thinking about
posting the following.  Feedback would be appreciated.

For those who have been asked to cease persistent and unprovoked
personal harrassment of other list members, the management offers
an alternative.  Regretfully, however, the limitations of internet
preclude inclusion of nail and hair clippings:


VOODOO Dolls can be home-made or store-bought. What really matters
is the method of preparation.


A piece of the person's clothing should be attached to
the doll, nail or hair clippings should be sewn up in the doll, and
a drop of blood animal, or human should be added to the doll. On
the back of the doll place the voodoo vever. The doll should have
a face, and a cross over the heart. At midnight the doll is placed
on a black cloth between two black candles. At the head a stone is
placed, and at the feet something metal is placed.  The candles
should be anointed properly (middle to top, middle to bottom) with
an appropriate oil. After lighting the candles say:

"Be you gone and may you _____ rot in the grave. Damballah, curse
him as I curse him and spoil him as I spoil him. By the fire of the
night, by the dead black hen, by the bloody throat, by the goat,
by the rum on the ground, this ouanga be upon him. May he have no
peace in bed, nor at his food, nor can he go and hide. Waste him
and wear him and tear him and rot him as these rot"

Chant this three times:

"Eh! Eh! Bomba, Hen! Hen!

Canga Cafio Te

Canga Mouna Dele

Canga Dahi La

Canga Li

After chanting the above words, apply various means of torture:
done, pins, burning, chopping off head etc. etc. etc.

Personify the voodoo doll if hair & nail clippings and clothing are
not available. This is done before the midnight voodoo ceremony.
Again the doll is laid on something black between two candles. Near
by should be dirt, water, matches, and water.

A...Sprinkle some dirt on the Doll and say, "Legba, Legba, Conga
Bafo Te".

B...Sprinkle some drops of water on the Doll and say, "Agwe, Agwe,
Conga Noune De Le".

C...Wave a lighted match over the Doll and say, "Aia bambaia bomba,
Ghede, Ghede, Conga Do Ki La, your name and your suffering shall
be that of _______.
