I checked there and I don't see anything.  I sent a free list and it freed
the list but then it happened again this morning.

This usually means there is a connection problem with the mail server you
have defined in  SMTP_FORWARD= and or SMTP_FORWARDn=.
In the log directory there should be a SMTPS#1-20031008.LOG  file which
should contain the reason for the problem.
