Dear List Members,

On our List Archives pages the "message numbers" are not sequential
and I cannot make any sense of them. I took a look at Listserv's
archive pages
http://peach.ease.lsoft.com/scripts/wa.exe?A1=ind0107&L=lstown-l and
I see the same thing happening.
Here is an example:
1. subject a
2. subject b
5. subject c
32. subject d
2. subject e
3. subject f
4. subject g
2. subject h

Can anyone explain this? Or point me to the appropriate archive or
page in the manual.
Thanks in advance.
Ruth
