I seem to be unable to delete files that I have added to my filelist.
According to the instructions I have, I am supposed to create an empty (1
byte) file and save that over the file I wish to delete.  Then I get the
filelist and delete the entries for the files to be deleted.  Unfortunately,
it does not work.  Here are the relevant filelist entries:
 
00024   CALIB1   UUE        ALL OWN F       1     1 95/05/18 13:39:24 UUENCODE
00025   CALIB2   UUE        ALL OWN F       1     1 95/05/18 13:40:56 UUENCODE
00026   CALIB3   UUE        ALL OWN F       1     1 95/05/18 13:40:09 UUENCODE
00027   CALIB4   UUE        ALL OWN F       1     1 95/05/18 13:41:16 UUENCODE
00028   CALIB5   UUE        ALL OWN F       1     1 95/05/18 13:41:33 UUENCODE
00029   CALIB6   UUE        ALL OWN F       1     1 95/05/18 13:41:52 UUENCODE
00030   CALIB    $PACKAGE   ALL OWN F       1     1 95/05/18 13:42:16 PACKAGE
 
And here is the response I get from listserv when I try to lsvput the edited
filelist:

File "CALIB2 UUE" removed from filelist but still present on disk.
File "CALIB3 UUE" removed from filelist but still present on disk.
File "CALIB4 UUE" removed from filelist but still present on disk.
File "CALIB5 UUE" removed from filelist but still present on disk.
File "CALIB6 UUE" removed from filelist but still present on disk.
File "CALIB $PACKAGE" removed from filelist but still present on disk.
PUT request rejected.
 
Can anyone give me any assistance?
