A spam message was just distributed to the list: [log in to unmask]
EDU.  The subject line read:  Let's get off together. 800-557-3218 .
The purported poster was a Susie Keller  with the return address of:
 [log in to unmask]
Of course there is no such subscriber on the Autocat list.  While we
are set up that messages from non-subscribers go to one of the
listowners for approval this message obviously by-passed that step.
It does not seem to have come in through the Usenet gateway either.
