Go to the list's management page and choose the "Bulk" button.

From there, browse for your input file* and make sure the first option is
selected, ie: "Add the imported addresses to...".

That will add all the subscribers in the file without sending them a
confirmation message.

* the kind of input file it expects is a flat text file with one subscriber
per line, ie:

[log in to unmask] Joe Bloggs
[log in to unmask] John Smith
etc

From Excel, assuming you have 3 columns - email firstname lastname - save it
as a CSV file and then in Notepad or suchlike replace all commas with a
space.
