Now that DIST2 is working almost everywhere, what are the advantages of having
many peers for a list?

	1) somewhat more likely that users can interact with the list using
TELL since there will be fewer links that need to be up for the direct
commands to work. My impression is that this is not as important as
	it was in the beginning.

	2) somewhat lower load on the network for retreiving files since they
will be located "closer" to the requester.

	3) distributes the CPU load to multiple sites rather than being a big
	"hit" on a single system.

Others?

How important are these?
