Well here I am again. Since the connectivity problems were ruled out or repaired I have had to concentrate on finding out why LS1.8d won\t actually respond to commands I've submitted. Below is a copy of all three log files with an example of the responce I get when I send a simple "thans" command to the server. The probelm being that the log is generated, but no mail.
