Use the Web form exclusively? 1) Have the "postmaster" mail forwarded to another userid/address that's listed as a Listserv maintainer. 1a) We've automated a lot of the add-a-list functionality using the web form, so (for example) professors asking for class lists get done on the fly. 1b) Our documentation points other people at a "request a list" webpage, which invokes a CGI that sends the request to one of us for verification/action. End result is that I see perhaps 1 list request per year coming to the address [log in to unmask] - the OTHER 3,000+ lists are all directed to The Right Non-Postmaster Place. 2) Use mail software that makes it easier to reconfigure - I use 'exmh', which lets me compose with different headers on a per-message basis. I'm told that Eudora Pro has "roles" that support similar. -- Valdis Kletnieks Operating Systems Analyst Virginia Tech
