Margaret, We did have a similar problem here, adding email addresses which took the subscription mail over the "standard" 80 character limit. With your limit being 41 it sounds as though it might be the mailer that is splitting the line when it sends it to listserv, then listserv cannot interpret the line correctly. At least that is what was happening here. We were using Outlook though so . . . Anyway we worked around it by either splitting the subscription request across multiple lines, or by sending the mail in HTML which seemed to work okay. Good luck Duncan p.s. Think yourself lucky, i am just trying to add an old X400 address of 93 characters. That reminds me for all the support staff out there can LSMTP handle X400 addresses ?, I assume it's RFC compatible and should not have any problems but I haven't tried it yet. -----Original Message----- From: Margaret J. Does anyone know what the limit is on emai addresses and if it can be changed? Mine seems to be 41 characters. I need to have more for overseas addresses. Margaret J.
