Both are obsolete and likely to disappear from future versions of LISTSERV. Prefered (and Default) setting is FULLHDR. The owner or the user can change this via the WWW interface or via the SET listname FULLHDR command by email. >b) Also one subscriber had a message sent to him with a from: field in the >header which was identified as listname*a*-b*-xxxxx**rl*-ac*[log in to unmask], >any ideas why this one user might have had this in the from: field and not >the usual [log in to unmask] Not the From:, but the RFC821 return-path. They must have a very strange mailer pgm, or a very badly configured one, for this address to be visible. This is LISTSERV's PROBE format for testing the validity of email addresses during the course of regular list mailings. If the message should bounce, it will be returned to LISTSERV, containing the server_name, listname, and address-as-mailed-to which is everything LISTSERV needs to know to 'count' bad addresses and eventually (according to your List Header settings) to autodelete the bad address.
