Having the victim follow LSTSRV-L and LSTOWN-L is a pretty good continuing education class. Add to this ownership of an active list with changing membership and you've got a backup with a sense for list-owner needs. Add to that a general knowledge of how you installed, tailored and last updated LISTSERV code, with available pointers to the details, and you have a pretty good backup. If you are the owner of any large or mission-critical lists, that probably calls for something extra, as would use of an external database.
