Please elaborate, because I am confused - your comment " ... disable it ... " appears to contradict this excerpt from the manual: L-Soft international, Inc. List Owner's Manual for LISTSERV®, version 1.8d 5 May 2000 Revision 1 (distribution keywords section, page 166) Mail-Via= DISTRIBUTE | DIST2 | Direct This keyword is not available in LISTSERV Lite. The default value is Mail-Via= DISTRIBUTE. DIST2 is functionally equivalent to DISTRIBUTE, and is included for historical reasons. Mail-Via= Direct causes LISTSERV to ignore the DISTRIBUTE algorithm for subscribers on the local system, but mail to non-local subscribers will still go out on the DISTRIBUTE backbone. >>> [log in to unmask] 08/22/01 12:10PM >>> >An excellent FAQ response by Ben on the paths e-mail takes wrt >LISTSERV! > >"Outbound" is a little too simplified though. It is correct enough for >command responses, but list distributions may take a significantly >more perverse route through other LISTSERV sites ... ><soapbox>a feature I'd like to be able to disable (without loss of >CATALIST)</soapbox>. "Mail-Via= Direct" allows you to disable it on a list-by-list basis. Thanks, -- Jacob Haller, Technical Support L-Soft international, Inc http://www.lsoft.com/
