Information on the problem: http://gtf.org/garzik/ecn/ I run with ECN enabled on the laptop I'm writing this from - some web servers are behind ECN-broken firewalls, and this is a quick workaround: echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_ecn If this magically makes the machine reachable, then at least you know what the problem is.
