I've seen lots of confusing correct positives caused by loops in netnews->list gateways, and broken forwarding (every once in a while, some bozo will accidentally forward their mail to the list). If connectivity is good and system load light, the duplicate can show up within a few seconds, making it *look* like your original got bounced in error. Careful inspection of the MTA logs will probably show what happened. You want to look for incoming mail with a 'from [log in to unmask] that has an unlikely SMTP relay address (i.e. not the normal PSU mail hub). -- Valdis Kletnieks Computer Systems Senior Engineer Virginia Tech
