This may not be the case, but everyone on the list may not know this. AOL is now filtering out all bulk mail originating from HotMail addresses. So, if someone uses a HotMail account to post to your list, subscribers using AOL will not receive the posts. We have addressed the problem by setting up a virtual host on our mail server and providing a free email account to AOL users. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pete Weiss" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Wednesday, January 29, 2003 10:43 AM Subject: AOL filtering? Today, I've got a "rash" of AOL bounces (multiple lists, mutiple listserv hosts, and multiple AOL cusotmers) that relate to this kind of filter bounce: from: Mail Delivery Subsystem <[log in to unmask]> Date: Wed, 29 Jan 2003 11:20:36 EST To: <[log in to unmask]> Subject: Mail Delivery Problem Mailer: AIRmail [v90.10] Message-ID: <[log in to unmask]> Your mail to the following recipients could not be delivered because they are not accepting mail from <rfc822 address>: aol_customer-id1 aol_customer-id2 -- I think something is amiss. /Pete Weiss
