There is a problem when sending a MIME message with both plain and html (i.e., Content-Type: multipart/alternative) to a moderated list. When the moderator receives the mail on a MIME-aware client, the paragraph prepended to the message explaining what to do is not visible. It appears that the problem is the message about forwarding falls outside of the MIME wrapper. To a moderator, it appears just as if the message had been distributed to the list. The sender gets a normal message that the mail was forwarded to the moderators. It is not necessarily obvious to the moderator that there is a problem and as a result the moderator does not forward legitimate mail on to the list. This problem only happens with Send=Editor and not with Send=Editor,Hold. The problem still exists when adding the Nomime parameter. I am running the latest available version - 1.8e with FIX2002A on VM. Any assistance would be appreciated.
