I don't know if this is really what's going on, but I have a listowner reporting that NON-Earthlink subscribers who post to her Maelstrom based list are getting replies from Earthlink like: > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "invoice.inquiry@earthlinknet" <[log in to unmask]> > Sent: Monday, June 02, 2003 4:29 PM > Subject: Acknowledging your Email (KMM45265449V89384L0KM) > > > Thank you for contacting EarthLink, > > We received your email on 6/2/03, however in order to better serve you > EarthLink only accepts replies to outbound email messages or new messages > created by completing our online email form. To ensure that your inquiry > is handled by an EarthLink representative we ask that you resubmit your > request using our online email form which you can access using the > "support by email" link on your personal start page, or, by inserting the > following URL in your web browser: > > http://support.earthlink.net/email Her list has three Earthlink subscribers, so I cc'ed them on my reply to her report and was treated to a similar message, with no indication of which of the three addresses triggered it. Later I got an additional message from Earthlink quoting *my* reply to the Owner, and thanking me for my SPAM report. Huh? I've sent test messages to each of the three subscribers with their addresses in the subject (which Earthlink does echo) but so far nothing has come back. So far, whatever Earthlink is doing is failing to impress me with its elegance. ;-) -Kary
