I try to cover the bases for most out of office subjects and reject them. My lists would probably be dropping this thread though... Here are my standard content filtering rules: subject: Out of the office action: reject subject: automated response action: reject subject: OutOfOffice action: reject subject: Out Of Office action: reject subject: I am not here action: reject subject: Gone Fishing action: reject Get back to work!! The last was entered as a joke that has sort of stuck around.... So far, I've had no complaints on the 40some lists on our site. Before we switched to LSoft, this was a hugh problem. --- Inanimate objects rock with glee as they conspire to baffle me. - Ogden Nash William Brown Email/Internet Services Erie 1 BOCES (716)821-7285 Adam O'Toole <[log in to unmask]> Sent by: LISTSERV list owners' forum <[log in to unmask]> 07/18/2003 02:04 PM Please respond to LISTSERV list owners' forum <[log in to unmask]> To [log in to unmask] cc Subject Re: [LSTOWN-L] Out of Office AutoReply: Help Deleting Archives Perhaps this would be a good opportunity to ask - what is the best way to filter messages to a list based on content? Return Reciepts from Exchange are also pesky, I've found, as they generate automatic responses from every Outlook client in use among list members. It would be nice to be able to design these list management problems out - everyone gets a braino once in a while. That a subscriber to this list would implement an ooofbot, without first setting his list subscription NOMAIL, or at least DIGEST, is, to me, incomprehensible. Douglas Winship [log in to unmask]
