I think it is more a user problem than anything.  A user can choose to have the entire address book sent the message, or they can do it individually on a per user basis.  I use Plaxo at home (mainly because it makes my entire address book available over the internet), and I only send the individual requests.

  I have never encountered that problem. In fact,  until your email arrived,
  I never heard of plaxo.com. Why don't you just put a filter on your list
  for the address at Plaxo.com where these unwanted emails originate?
