Thanks to everyone for your help so far... Ok, deleting the listname.DB* and listname.ind* fixed the archives. I now have another problem. When I click on the links in the web interface that have graphics all the images are broken but the link it self still works (ie. click on the broken graphic to "Edit List Configuration" and the list header opens). I can open the various HTML pages in a text editor as see that the links to the graphic files are wrong. They point to a path that doesn't have the /listserv/archive... just /archive.... I tried to edit these file manually (I only have the one list so it's not hard) and can make it work but when I go in to the site config utility and go in to the area for web archives it copies the wa.exe to the right location but all the graphics quit working again. The web interface seems to work just fine. It's just these broken graphics. I'm running on Windows 2000 server with Listserv 1.8e. Listserv is installed in E:\Listserv and the web portion is at E:\inetput\wwwroot\tcfw\listserv I hope this is enough info to help figure this out.
