Ok, I have a set of one-way announcements lists. They each get posted to at different times by different moderators (all lists have the one owner but they are moderated by the person who handles the postings...each list has it's own moderator). They all use TOPICS (only two per list) and moderators specify in the subject line of their messages which group should receive the post. Although the lists are different (by different I mean that the announcements are about different topics depending on the list), they share one common thing and that is the company they've been created for. That company wants the TO: line of all their lists to specify one email address. I would suggest using a distribute job but unfortunately, they'd loose the ability to take advantage of the list TOPICS. And, postings to the lists are handled by programs that are set up to automatically process the content and create a message in the form of a post to send to the specified lists and that would not be an easy thing to change in regard to changing the format to a Distribute job. Any suggestions in achieving this with the current setup would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks, Claude. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nathan Brindle" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Tuesday, March 16, 2004 10:10 AM Subject: Re: MASKING THE LISTNAME/ADDRESS IN THE TO: LINE FOR A REGULAR POST. > You can't use the same List-Address setting for multiple lists, so this is > not a solution to your problem. > > Nathan > > At 09:58 AM 3/16/2004 -0500, Claude Etienne wrote: > >Hi again, > > > >The Lists-Address keyword did work, thanks, but for some reason, Listserv > >seems to take the left part of the address I specified and used that as the > >listname in the drop down combo box on the web interface.
