Thank you to those who have answered. I think I'm going to take Pete's advice. Someone posted about there being about 800 lines in a pic, I think it was Barbara, and I have a couple of list members who could use up about 800 lines just in text! So, that setting would be a bit troublesome. Anyway, I think we'll stay as we are, not allowing attachments on the list. For some of our overseas digest folks, having to wade through code would be a very poor option, since they pay for their time online. I vote against sending attachments, unless subscribers are willing to maintain their mailboxes from overflowing; have up to date anti-virus software and signatures; your archives have sufficient space to handle it.
