Hi, Our spam software is blocking all [log in to unmask] , if the domain name is sent in UPPER CASE. Is there a way to get all my list emails, on a Unix Listserver 18e, sent out in lower case? Thank you. ________________________________ From: Kevin Law Sent: Wednesday, January 05, 2005 2:12 PM To: Patrick B. O'Brien Subject: RE: Case #100854399 Importance: High Thanks. Can we look into seeing why the Listserv software or the UNIX server itself is sending the messages as @DOMAIN.BLAH.BLAH even though the configuration information for accounts says @domain.blah.blah, and see if it can be changed? ________________________________ From: Patrick B. Good job though. ________________________________ From: Kevin Law Sent: Wednesday, January 05, 2005 2:07 PM To: [log in to unmask] Cc: Patrick B. For instance, if an email is sent to [log in to unmask] then it will make it through our front-end SMSFS server, but if it is sent as [log in to unmask], then the front-end server now rejects the message with the "Relaying denied" NDR message. This behaviour just started since our upgrade of the SMSFS software last night. Is there a way that we can fix this working with your software people right now? I tried putting the domains in all uppercase under the "Local routing list" in SMSFS and this didn't change the behavior of the software at all ([log in to unmask] emails still came through, but [log in to unmask] emails don't). We are using SMSFS build 4.1.0.19. Please contact me as soon as you can to let me know more things to try or what we can possibly do to resolve this, so that our Governor doesn't kill me. Thanks. ________________________________ From: Kevin Law Sent: Wednesday, January 05, 2005 1:24 PM To: [log in to unmask] Cc: Patrick B. O'Brien; Randy Smith; Shawn Curby Subject: RE: Case #100854399 Importance: High I removed all of the information out of the "Local routing list", restarted the "Symantec Mail Security for SMTP" service, re-entered the information for our domains into the "Local routing list", restarted the "Symantec Mail Security for SMTP" service, sent "test" messages from the Listserv server again and they didn't come through, restarted the SMSFS server, and sent more "test" messages using the Listserv and they still didn't work. The people in charge of the Listserv swear that they haven't changed anything and told me that they are using LSOFT version 1.8 as their Listserv software. I ran a quick report basically from the last hour on the SMSFS server for all activity concerning the 167.154.2.139 IP address, which belongs to the Listserv, and checked all possible reporting criteria boxes, and I have included that report. The Listserv belongs to our Governor's Office and they are in a big bind with this server having trouble delivering email to our State employees through our front-end SMSFS server, so the sooner we can get this all figured out the better. Thanks a million for your help. ________________________________ From: Kevin Law Sent: Wednesday, January 05, 2005 12:38 PM To: [log in to unmask] Cc: Patrick B. I also included a couple of emails from Patrick O'Brien, who is the gentleman in charge of the UNIX Listserv box that is now having the troubles in sending emails to us through our SMSFS server, that contain some information about what his box is seeing on his end, just in case they might help?
