17.3.2. The ALL-REQUEST alias If you need to communicate with all of the list owners on your server, simply write to the special ALL-REQUEST alias. ALL-REQUEST is expanded by LISTSERV to include all list owners of all the lists on your server. Note that ALL-REQUEST should only be used in emergencies, or when all list owners need to be informed that something is happening, such as a migration from one server to another. For general news it is probably better to create an administrative mailing list for your list owners rather than to use ALL-REQUEST. -Jim -- Jim Serwinowski [log in to unmask] UB Listserv Administrator http://listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu On Wed, 9 Mar 2005, Anne Toal wrote: > Date: Wed, 9 Mar 2005 14:52:57 -0500 > From: Anne Toal <[log in to unmask]> > Reply-To: LISTSERV site administrators' forum <[log in to unmask]> > To: [log in to unmask] > Subject: Address for mailing all owners > > I need to mail all owners of all list that there will be some server > downtime.
