We recently saw some listserv web pages loading very slowly. We have narrowed the problem down to the following: clicking on subscriber's corner appears to kick off the command 'q * for emailaddress'. This pegs the cpu at near 100%, memory and disk low use. Interestingly, it seems to run about 10 seconds for a normal user; 2 minutes for listmgr (the maanger account). I can't see the entire command and may be missing something, as it's truncated in the log. The other thing that's fascinating is that this command appears to be run whenever the cookie verify link is followed after logging in the first time with an email/password. We're Listserv Classic running on a Win2k box, 1Ghz. I'm guessing HPO might help, since Classic is single threaded? Any comments? I have emailed Lsoft suppoort, but looking for practical "help from the field." Thanks again for all the insight from this list. Nelson R.
