If so, and if the headers clearly show that the messages did not pass through his system, then there is nothing further he can do about the situation, except explain it to the complainers. If he is not receiving complaints from the recipients, then the only way he can possibly know that messages sent to his lists had 'bcc' recipient addresses is by comparing the MTA log entries with the message headers and seeing that there are recipient addresses in the log entries that do not appear in the headers.
