We are using ListServ 1.8e in Solaris Sparc 7 (ES250 machines with 2 CPUs). We had a problem in a list index which always crashed the ListServ. The archive (*.logXXXXX) have 256 weekly archives (there are more than one archive in a single week) and the total size is 448Meg. The ListServ would crashed if any user did a search on that list. I deleted the *.db* corresponding to that list and could see it rebuilt the index when I did a search. But ListServ crashed 5-10 mintes later that I had to re-start it. The last few lines of log I saw before the crash were: *** FIO file cache now totals 20862k. A list of cached files follows. *** File size Usage Flags File name --------- ----- ----- --------- 7632k 1 U /u/ssc/listserv/lists/listname.log0604c 8711k 1 /u/ssc/listserv/listslistname.log0605a 1829k 1 U /u/ssc/listserv/lists/listname.log0604e 2691k 1 U /u/ssc/listserv/lists/listname.dbindex *** FIO file cache now totals 10323k. I would be appreciated if any one could let me know what is going wrong or I missed something. I searched the LSTSRV-L and could not find anything. Thank. Shinn
