Last night we had a relatively new list owner start subscribing people to his list. Bad part, he had several people to add, and he was adding people one by one per mail, and several thousand addresses to add. Eventually, he managed to fill the disk partition, causing all kinds of havoc. I looked around this morning to clean up, and noticed a lot of the following: 3016 ./ok002ad4dd.ddlist 3016 ./ok003bd641.ddlist 3016 ./ok00270983.ddlist 3016 ./ok00105c43.ddlist 3008 ./ok00610a19.ddlist 3008 ./ok0056a7a7.ddlist 3008 ./ok0033f7a5.ddlist 3008 ./ok006bd895.ddlist 3008 ./ok003abf97.ddlist 3000 ./ok0060dcb0.ddlist 3000 ./ok004ec7a7.ddlist 3000 ./ok00679b33.ddlist 3000 ./ok004f7b4d.ddlist 3000 ./ok007a492a.ddlist 2992 ./ok00321914.ddlist 2992 ./ok0057db1c.ddlist 2992 ./ok0024da51.ddlist 2992 ./ok006a1cdb.ddlist 2992 ./ok003b164c.ddlist 2992 ./ok001b2df7.ddlist 2984 ./ok00368759.ddlist 2984 ./ok0031d313.ddlist Just a sample, but we had over a thousand of these files floating around, ranging from 3MB down to a few KB. Looking through them seemed to contain the subscription request, but I couldn't figure out why some of these had ballooned to a few MB. I've had to delete them now in order to get the disk back to a workable size, but what would cause these files to get so large? Matt K.
