Dear LSTOWN-L readers, Thanks to Ballew Kinnaman for the suggestions for the report - I'm using them as an outline for mine - and for Bill's questions and comments. No one has asked or required that I formally report on list operations. But I wish to do so, particularly because I now serve on the sponsoring body. A matter has arisen for discussion, namely, future promotion of the list. So I consider it appropriate to apprise them as to what's gone on during the past couple of years since we started operations. And in that context I'm curious to know to what extent other people in a similar situation might make reports about their list to people who in some sense supervise or sponsor their list. If you prefer not to reply on LSTOWN-L, feel free to write privately. I didn't ask that before because, rather than a statistical report of how many people are affected in this way, I was hoping for anecdotal comments on what the experience of making such a report has been -- for which a reply on the list seems appropriate. If I hear no response on that aspect of the issue, then perhaps the practice is very rare. Sincerely - Ian Ian Fairclough Marion (Ohio) Public Library tel. 740-387-0994 x233 [log in to unmask] ___________________________________
