Greetings: My university is in the process of making listserv a "production" system. I have been a listowner for ~15 years (multiple and complicated lists), but I am not the listserv administrator. We have created a form (PDF) that listowner applicants employ to provide contact information and list configuration preferences, purpose of list and so forth, and by which they agree to the "rules". click, and an email is generated with an XML attachment. No paper at this point, but still a lot of manual futzing around that eventually puts parameters in a list that the "administrator" uses as a script is run for list creation. This is further complicated for us because the "job ticket" creation process is email-driven but refuses attachments... the helpdesk is not overjoyed seeing the XML in the body of an email message. A web page and supporting scripting is under consideration that would parse up an email that is friendly from the perspective of the list creator. Who has solved this problem, or are you all working from paper (and wearing green eye shades? :) Thanks in advance for the solution! Ron Wood
