You can find instructions for doing this at http://www.lsoft.com/resources/wp-movinglistserv.pdf. The basic idea is to upgrade your old server to the version you want, install the OS and the same version of Listserv on the new server, then copy the configuration files from the old server to the new one. I think you are able to move over your lists to a new server with the list files. We contacted LSoft and supposedly you are able to move over your users as well without them having to re-register. We tried testing the upgrade on another server but couldn't seem to get it to work which is what made us think to start from scratch. Would it be best to first build a new server with Windows 2003 and then install the version 15.6 of Listserv on that server? When we do this will we be able to import the list from our current Listserv to the new server or do we need to build our new server with the Listserv software version 1.8d and then upgrade the Listserv software as a second phase? Thanks, Dave
