I migrated the Listserv installation with LSMTP to an ESX environment without any problems. I had to strip out a number of extraneous devices from the virtualized host, though. >>> "U. Giese" <[log in to unmask]> 6/30/2009 7:33 AM >>> hello, we're since a few weeks back to the roots and running our listserv virtually (no, not on VM/ESA but on ESX 3.5 ;-). Now we have an open case with VMWARE about sporadic loops, which are bringing the WINDOWS-2003 servers into a state where only a hard reset can help. The task-monitor shows one CPU running 100% overhead (logon is possible only via the VI console) and the second CPU empty. CPU on the ESX isn't used very much. Disk-i/o goes via Gigabit-NFS to a NAS. The listserv-systems were virtualized using P2V and are dedicated to LISTSERV (& LSMTP). Does anyone have similar problems in the past. regards -ulrich giese-
