Well, again: I don't know how you set the variable. Under unix, if you are setting the variable in the go.user file, in most cases you have to export it:

ANTI_VIRUS=0
export ANTI_VIRUS

and then restart LISTSERV.

If your customer ID is LOCKHEEDMARTINJSC, you do have current maintenance; I'd suggest asking the support staff ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) to help you as you may feel more comfortable showing them configuration files and so forth.

I am going to have to beg forgiveness here for my ignorance. Export?

I assume you mean that you set

ANTI_VIRUS=0

in go.user - but did you also export it?

We are busily trying to migrate away from an existing Listserv server, to a newer one, the old one won't be renewed as it is on its last legs.

I am getting emails out of the old one giving me TONS of warnings that ..

">>> Error X'0110002B' running virus scanner <<<

-> Severity: Error

-> Facility: Virus detection system

-> Abstract: Support has expired, contact L-Soft"

I am very aware the support has expired, and anti virus scanning is presently being done run through Clamav, so not really a big deal except for the TONS of unwanted emails....

I have turned off the Anti Virus scanning per L-soft's documentation, but how do I get these messages to stop?
