While you cannot guarantee suppressing someone reading your distributions doing a "reply all", you can encourage what you want and you can guarantee who is authorized to post.

See the "Reply-To=" statement for directing replies.   For example, "Reply-To= sender, ignore" will turn a "reply button into a reply to the author.  Replace "sender" with an email address and that's where replies will be encouraged to go.   It's not for sure ... people can put what they want into their "To:" field of their reply, so you must control who may post to your list.

There are a number of ways to accomplish this.  Another contributor has shown you one.   One I usually prefer causes all subscribers to have the "nopost" subscription option ... except for the people you wish to be able to post.    You limit to subscribers posting by "Send= private" or "Send= Private, confirm" and have all your subscribers have "nopost".  New subscribers will be set automatically with "Default-options= nopost".   Use a "set" command with "quiet" to give all current subscribers "nopost" (syntax left to you). Finally change your poster subscriptions to remove "nopost".

Hello!

I have a question regarding the L-Soft list serve.
I work as a communicator with parents of college aged students.
We have an email list (listserv) that is used as a "push" of information.
The intent for this list is to NOT allow members to "reply all".
I changed the settings yesterday to allow only the owner to post to the list.
Will this solve my "reply all" challenge?

Thank you for your time!
