SMH Typical "Stranded Traveler's Scam". I hope most people are aware that if you lose your wallet or credit card while traveling, you can call MasterCard or VISA collect from anywhere on the planet to get an instant replacement card. They even ask you to call collect back to the states. They will even work with your hotel to make sure your bill is paid. It is crucial to initiate a travel itinerary with your credit card companies at least several days before departure. Years ago a friend's Facebook account was hacked. The person said they were stranded in UK and wanted me to call them back at the hotel front desk. A quick Google search revealed the telephone number was a UK mobile phone number. I played along with the scam for a bit to see how far they would go.
