Since this person was not manually served off could you not just issue the serve command for the user?

Subject: How to restore user that has been "served out"?
I am the site administrator. User received the error
”An error occurred while processing file 515612 from
[log in to unmask]:
"Mail has been received for delivery to the XXXXXX list from a user that had been served out".
The FAQ mentions the problem but offers no solution:
http://www.lsoft.com/manuals/owner-faq.stm#_Toc81722877 (FAQ #4)
Note that the SERVE command will not restore service to users who have been manually served off by the LISTSERV maintainer. Restoration of service in this case requires
that a LISTSERV maintainer intervene.
And just what is a maintainer supposed to do?

How to resolve this problem?
