Thanks, that did it. The users was soft served out. I suspected that someone may have accidentally selected the wrong drop-down option from the moderator web interface (drop and serve off).

Since this person was not manually served off could you not just issue the serve command for the user?

I am the site administrator. User received the error ”An error occurred while processing file 515612 from [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>:
"Mail has been received for delivery to the XXXXXX list from a user that had been served out".

The FAQ mentions the problem but offers no solution:

Note that the SERVE command will not restore service to users who have been manually served off by the LISTSERV maintainer. Restoration of service in this case requires that a LISTSERV maintainer intervene.

And just what is a maintainer supposed to do?
