I don’t see that the “Moderator” keywords are necessary given what you are trying to accomplish. With these and the Editor keywords removed, not sure why owner would still need to approve

 

 

Here’s the header as it was before I started (copied to Notepad as a backup: addresses of co-listowners removed):

In response to Steve’s advice I removed the two lines beginning Editor= and added

Send= private,confirm

after

Validate= Yes,Confirm

and am still getting a message requiring a listowner to approve.   I’m sending test messages from a different address, at which I get to confirm first before it goes to the listowners.

Dear LSTOWN-L readers,

 

A list has all messages from first-time posters go to all list owners (who are also all editors and moderators) for review and approval.  I'd like to change the list header so that this no longer happens, and that new subscribers, although they confirm their own posts, don’t have their message sent to a listowner for approval.

 

What do I do to the list header to achieve this?

 

We're on Listserv 16.0 and I've looked over the manual

but without success.  I’ve also tried several adjustments to the header and sent test messages.

 

Thanks for any advice.  Sincerely – Ian P.S. After a list owner determines that the person posting is not a spammer or robot, the subscription is adjusted so they no longer have to be reviewed.
