You shouldn’t be using port 25 for incoming mail. It is not the standard, and just isn’t secure; that’s why it is blocked. You should use port 110 for non-SSL, or 995 for TLS (and you SHOULD use TLS always, although you need to support both).

For outgoing port 25 is for non-TLS, and 465 for TLS.

I have set up the ListServ on a Centos 7 machine with sendmail also active. I have no problems sending emails out on port 25, but incoming emails through my IP on port 25 are blocked. I have asked my IP about it but they are telling me they have up to 5 business days to reply. My history with getting results from my IP have not been all that great. Is there an easy, reliable and non-cost way to get around the port 25 issue?
