I am running about 20 lists and have started to have a problem with one of them. Each post seems to shut down the list with the following error:

An error occurred  while logging mail to the archives  of the LISTNAME list. An  incomplete copy of  the message might  be present in  the archive file. The list is being held  to prevent further occurrences of this error.

Please take corrective action and issue a "FREE LISTNAME " command when you want the message to be reprocessed.

Serious error occurred - traceback follows

------------------------------------------

>>> Error X'00000009' logging message to archives <<<

-> Severity: Warning

-> Facility: Generic error codes

-> Abstract: End of file

A couple of the posts have been complicated (attachments and embedded graphics) but others have just been text and HTML.  None of our other lists are similarly affected.

I’ve freed the list but it shuts down again.  I’ve gone into the SPOOL folder and removed the offending post and freed the list and it stays running until the next post.  This list has run fine until about a week ago, although it’s not a high volume list.

Any ideas what could be wrong or what further diagnostics can I perform?

Thanks,

BK
