On an IBM Mainframe and on Linux, the message archives are separate text files that can be copied off for safe keeping before a list is deleted. As the System Administrator, I always copy off the archives to
send to the list owner. Even burning them to CD for more permanent storage.

We have a list owner that is wondering if the list can be deleted but the archives be saved. Does anyone know if this is possible or have experience
