Amanda,
You can delete the list without deleting the archives. If you use the web interface to delete the list it will give you the option of deleting the archives or not. Note that you won't be able to view the archives
via the web interface if you delete the list.

Subject: [LSTSRV-L] Can archives be saved when a list is deleted?
We have a list owner that is wondering if the list can be deleted but the archives be saved.
Does anyone know if this is possible or have experience with doing this?
