Hmm... You're right, but  I had previously added a test  (from the very first
version) to  transfer everything sent directly  to the LISTSERV machine  to the
postmaster, to  make sure that people  used to the NCSUVM-type  LISTSERVs would
get an error message when mailing to "listname <LISTSERV@FRECP11>". Also, I was
afraid of possible loops during the testing period. But, well, tout bien consi-
dere, I decided to modify it as you suggested.
 
  I have added a NOTIFY userid@node  ON|OFF command that will allow full-duplex
links between two FRECP11-type LISTSERVs (so to speak). And for better safety I
added a test that makes it reject  any mail with a subject starting with "Ack:"
(it sends back an acknowledgement with "Subject: Ack: original_subject"), which
means that you  won't get any loop  even if you forget the  NOTIFY OFF command.
